How to create an alter ego
Bringing it all to a close is the wispy wonder of “You My Owl Soul Reedit”. Going hard “LWD Reedit” holds nothing back with its intense heft. Quite rich, the many layers interact to create something that has such depth. By far the highlight the dub-influenced “NSFW Love” has a tenderness to it. “Green Green Daddy’s Reedit” allows for a bit more flexibility within the sound, as it seems to absolutely waiver back and forth. In this piece there is a force of nature to be reckoned with, one that crushes literally everything in its path. Deep into the abstract side of things comes “Son Of The Fox Fore”. Kept to the pure essentials “Son Of The Fox Three” allows for a rather intimate affair, with an arrangement that is truly bare-bones. On “Son Of The Fox Two” allows for a different beauty, one that features a rather extended buildup, one where the song literally flowers and blooms into something so colorful. Vocals swim through the din in a magnificent way.

Reflective melodies are interspersed with nimble percussive elements on “Son Of The Fox One”. Beyond these two, there is a degree of the relentless oddity of Royal Trux’s “Twin Infinitives” thanks in large part to its ancient cadence alongside woozy riffs. Yet, for all the experimentation, there is a degree of catchiness that anchors the works. Nothing here is as it seems for the works seem to melt away into the absolute infinite. Going even further astray the pieces recall a bit of the Resident’s bizarre experiments with sound for they completely and fully mess with expectations. Everything goes hard and heavy, yet maintains its rather languid tempo. Akin to his work, Wolf Love’s too features rather unruly beasts of the beats.

The sound itself recalls Bogdan Raczynski’s take. Production is of the essence for there are whole multitudes of worlds to explore. The word choice matters a great deal for the balance is exceptional in terms of its careful considered grace. Melodies are warbled, the lyrics flowing through in a stream of consciousness quality. Best taken in as a singular whole, the entirety of the album plays off itself resulting in an experience that is refreshing in its leftfield tact.
